Don't have time to deal with this myself right now, so looking for some help.

Plug welds busted. Long side is coming out of the housing. Other side needs to be pulled out too so it can be rotated. Need a slight (5 deg.) change in caster when they are put back in. Need new shims machined at the right angle too (I can weld them on). Anybody want to do it? I'll drop the axle off to you. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

Looks like some nasty axle wrap up there.... you're better off getting a new housing and starting over, that's not going to be a cheap bill, lots of work involved with what you want.

Nah, this isn't major. No way I'd even consider getting a new axle unless I cracked the housing.

Already found somebody to do it. He'll have it done by Monday.

good luck with that! once I broke the tubes loose in my axle it was never the same again, always leaked even though the tubes were welded.

post up the finished product. :thumb:

Tubes were welded as in a continuous fillet weld connecting the tubes and the housing? How could it leak if you did that?

He didn't clean any of the mud/water slurry that was leaking before he welded the tubes in. Needless to say they looked like turkey shit on them.
