Probably just need the different tail housing and tail shaft for a 4x4??
Best bet:
Buy a 4x4 trans with tcase allready hooked to it and through her in...

I know that some of the older rangers and bronco 2's had a dummy tcase spacer, so that there was no low range box or front output. If you are going to go serious about a 4x4 ranger, you could use a set of D44's from a J truck or a waggy, and get a divorced setup for a D18 or D20 tcase.

I had a customer looking to make her 2wd a 4x4, stoped in at work and asked for the switch to make her 2wd a 4x4.... ummmm hey ladie it'll take a little more than that.. she thought becouse she could see the 4x4 light in the dash that all she needed was a switch..

there ya go, just go to your local auto parts store and buy a switch!

I have a set of 4.10 geared early bronco d-44/9" axles that'd look good under it :poke:

This is Casey were talking about here..... He'll use F650 parts for the front, Blue Bird bus axle out back, and as soon as its finished he'll say "it's too built to drive, I want something lighter-duty".

I may have an 89 4x4 transfer case you can have out of my old 89 ranger. It was electronically controlled push button type. I unfortantely still dont have the trans.

By the way I may just be ready to get rid of the whole truck too. lol

How the hell is everyone. Long time no see.
