Float level too low? Either that or the axle nut. Did you rebuild the carbs?

OK, in all seriousness, it IS really ugly. BUT.....

unscrew the cap on the carburetor and pull the slide and spring out of the bore. There is a needle that runs through, and is held in place by the spring, and the cable. Lift the needle out, and you will see small grooves at the top, allowing adjustment. Placing the C clip towards the TOP of the needle will lean it out at WOT, and towards the bottom will richen the WOT mixture.

You're welcome.

Agreed Grant, I'm just assuming it ran fine before the spit-shine he threw at it.

Looks very nice BTW.

Thanks Scott.

Well another symptom is if you rap on the throttle real quick, it'll fall flat. If that helps any...

Actually its always had this problem. I just chalked it up to the low compression which obviously wasnt the case. Another thought was it could be the centrifical spark advance, but i took it out, lubed it all up and made sure it was working good and still no fix.

Gonna raising the needle next and see what happens.

I already know what will happen. The needle will be higher.

You're welcome.
