POR-15 tank restore...

Kicks ass. The Sabre tank had some serious rust and varnish going on up in thurr. 2 hours of sloshing around marine-clean took care of the varnish and general nastys. 8 more hours of letting metal-ready soak in took care of the rust. :thumb: Shes all purdy and clean inside again. Now i gotta wait 72-96 hours for the tank sealer to cure before i can put gas in it.

How bad could it have been? The petcock was flowing fine.....

I'd return it to the seller.

meh i was considering it. I really got Wenzeled on the deal :lol: :lol: :lol:

so far:
$70 for tire mounting and balancing
$100 for MC rebuild kits, plugs, filter
$28 for Royal Purple
$70 for tank restore stuff
and $350 for insurance and plates

Still need air cleaners, fuel filter, and coolant and she'll be ready to head to PA on the 21st (knocks on wood)

Not to bad i guess. I got to take it for its first test ride yesterday. Shes a fast motha.
