Is a 1990 model the last year 2001 or the first year 'newer model'?

Ok, he was wrong, it was an 89, so I bought it. Road trip to Virginia this week.

I would post a picture, but this forum hates me and is not giving me the option.

The old barefoot nautiques are cool too. Can't beat the rumble of a big block in the morning.

1159.1 miles yesterday. Livonia to Virginia and back. Boat is in really good shape, but an absolute filthy mess. Looks like it was a ski shool boat, except no scratches/cracks/chips. 351 is cracked, so who has a std bore 351W block laying around? Interior is in great condition ecxept for the carpet. Anyways, its home and I love it.... gonna pull the engine on Sunday.

My Tique is a 1979.
White with tan interior and tan graphics. (interior 3-4 years old carpet/seats)
Cd changer, 6 speakers, remote,
Full, removable back seat,
Teak platform,
Correct Craft trailer
302 that runs really nice, sounds good too.
New steering cable last year
Great boat, but with the wife, 2 huskys and now a baby I simply outgrew it.

Needs- Fuel system was loosing prime late last year, I may need to put a fuel pump on it,
Cover, It has a cover, but I don't think its going to make it threw this winter,
trailer tires, I keep the boat 2 miles from the launch, so I never bothered to replace them, they hold air
Minor gelcoat repair- chins have some damage from people loading it on the trailer by braile. No leaks, but 4-6" of ugly on each side.
$4000

Have you seen your CCFan question about how to add extra weight to your SNOB?

Pulled the engine out over the weekend. All was going well until the ratchet strap broke and the engine swung like a wrecking ball into the bedside of my truck. My tailgate nolonger fits. Time to bob the bed. I cant find any cracks in the block, but I did find on of the heads broken. I stripped the engine down to the bare block which I will drop off tonight for cleaning & magnafluxing. If it checks out then it will get some cam bearings and freeze plugs and be ready for re-assembly by the weekend.... Which I should have no trouble doing if my gaskets and rings get here from Summit.
I need to replace the carpet, and am trying to decide if I should do that before re-installing the engine, but at least it will be ready to go.
