Dam you, do you have to remind me..............
Maybe this weekend, 4 days and all. Bryce did con me into R&R (at least the R part) his trans and t-case. Dam thing is 180 lb's so can't exactly do it myself. Trying to schedule it around my son-in-laws schedule. My 2 sp case still is not here from OTT and I want to get started on the trans mount. I've got the Toyota case, just trying to decide what type of mount to use, either the factory Toy or a t-case ring style. Would have to order that........another week gone!
Still waiting for axles, then I have to narrow the rear by .67 because no one can make an axle over 34". need to get it on the ground to start the bumpers. Might take on bobing the rear fender sheet metal.

That would be GREAT. I need to get his trans-t/case out cause mine has yet to show up from the OTT boys. That whole asm comes out as one. We have to get it out to rebuild it anyways. I should be working on all weekend so Fri or Sat anytime would be good.

Progress, albiet slowly. Cut the front steering off a third time because I didn't like the clearance between the A/C compressor and the steering gear. I finally managed to get the M-van, inside rail/forward facing gearbox in without chopping the frame rail. 3/8" clearance to everything @ full compressed. Progress on the rear has halted until I get the new axles from Dutchman. It seems as though I have an oddball axle length, 34.67". Longest axle anyone can produce is 34". So, rear housing narrowing is in the works next. Work this today consisted of front bumper. Tomorrow may be bobbing the front fenders.
I'm about 12 weeks out and still no t'case from OTT.

Ok, here's the 'swiss cheese' bumper....along with 'good uses for beer boxes' for the rear bobing to clear the tires.
Finished the jounce bumper braces.
Things left to do, Still wtg on OTT for the t'case, and L.H. axle from Superior, fab t'case mount, measure for d'shafts, rock rails and fender bars, belly skid, trans tunnel clearance for Toyota t'case and shifters...plus crap I forgot about! (list is still way to long)
Then finish weld everything!

yes, ok, because they are almost a foot long and they could use some more support so they dont fold over......
