Ok, works great, Sorry for being a wanker.

Pics are as follows:
1) day I picked it up from impound lot, fork truck driver dropped it from this high(hence the need for a long arm kit)
2)Front bumper, 1/4 2x4 with 1/4 strap as support.
3)front bumper, now it has shackles on strap, look at full view of front from outside.
4)Another of front bumper
5)same
6)brace for my tube fenders. 3/16 strap along grill, 1/18 tubing for edges, 1/8 top plate.
7)3/16 plate along cowl
8)top of fender with rivets.
9)tube fenders with paint. They came out better than I could have imagined, right up until they fell off the ladder while the clear was drying. Oh well, its a wheeling rig.
10)another shot of the fenders, hood, and grill before paint.
11)interior with dash pulled down to fix that fucking heater
12) big pic of tire carrier. need opinions on this, Im planning on skid plating the bottom, and the tailgate is mounted solid to be a workbench or picknick table when folded down? likes/dislikes, let me know
13) overall of front when bodywork was reinstalled. I like it. Should sit another 3 or 4 inches taller, I may need 38'sor 40's. I like the shackle mounts.

i like everything but the tire carrier its gonna rattle alot and i think its gonna drag on alot of shit, also is there any plating on the body where its mounted so the bolts dont tear though

yes, I did beef up the crossmember, and its attachment points to the rest of the frame. Im still on the fence about the tire carrier. My thoughts are this: I want to be able to bring a spare -sometimes, so 2 hitch pins, and 2 bolts and the thing can be left on the trailer, and I hate swing away carriers, because they hang the tire too far out in space. At least this way the tire is right against the body, the lower bars are angled upward and will soon have a skid plate, and the whole assembly is easy to remove if I want. I couldnd think of a way to have a spare out of the way without mounting it like this, but Im not sure I like it either. It really shouldnt rattle though, because there is so much preload between the tire/tailgate assembly, and the tailgate mounting flanges, that, if anything, mud will give me a hard time getting it closed on the trail.

Well I ordered my Lift today :thumb: , had to tell the wife it was a birthday present to myself. Apparently she thought the dirt bike money was for bills or something. Silly girl. So hopefully by the weekend I will be 5.5" above stock, and maybe even rolling! Rob, thanks for the tires, I put them on my truck yesterday and they look sweet! Then I tried to drive with them.... I need a louder stereo.... and that was within my subdivision. At least they look cool. Thanks again.

holy shit!

you already have those things on there... did you have to crank the TB's?

just wait till theres a little snow on the roads... or even wet roads for that matter. those tires slide all over. makes for a good time in a long box though :thumb:

They actually fit without cranking, but I cgave it trhee turns a side juast to set the stance right. They look a lot better than they perfrom, as I got stuck in my yard. And im not kidding about how loud they are. I dont think Ill run them long, but I like my 16"wheels so much that its almost worth it.They will probally get mounted on some new wheels for the jeep for the little tire class :thumb:

Just ordered my Slip yoke Elim. Kit from JB Conversions. Im on a roll. Hope to have everything except driveshafts here by the weekend, and then driveshafts by mid next week :thumb: . Im glad I only got bit by the wheelin bug, and not attacked by the poison oak bug. Oh, and I bought a car hauler last night. Not as nice as I would have liked, but it will hold my heep.

Yeah, Im poor again. But at least I spent my dirt bike money on the jeep. Im sure if we would have gone to the tit bar on sat I would have spent it on that. Just came back from lunch and the tire is fine. plus its kinda cool to see the belts. kinda
