I think you are going to have to provide some better information as to your final plan to get a good idea on what kind of drivetrain you should run.

Just way to many variables out there.

i mean you said mudder right?

Nothing beats the 454/400/205/60/14 bolt

Start there.

high pinion front axles are only on Ford axles (drivers drop), unless you want to cut up a ford D 60 and build a high pinion front passenger drop.

if you have a tcase that drops to the passenger side, you will be running a low pinion chevy D60

if you have a tcase that drops to the driver side, you will be running a high pinion Ford D60

What front axle you run depends on what tcase you run.

what tcase you run generally depends on what trans you run

and you guessed it, what trans you run depends on what motor you run.

First off....please turn off the caps lock! Second, you really have to sit down and figure out how much money you want to spend , and what kind of truck you are going to build. If you dont have any parts to start with what so ever....then figure out what your end goal is first! Then you can build from their. As for axle and t case tech, go to pirate4x4 and you will read about that stuff until your eyes bleed :thumb:

If you want do a S10, you can leave the stock engine, trans, and tcase for a while if you don't have the money to upgrade them. If you gear your axles, the 4.3 will do fine unless you're into drag racing or hard mud running. You'll need driver's drop front axle (Ford).

Here's a pic of mine that isn't done yet.
