I decided to scrub the D60 and 70 in favour of a set of 2.5 ton Rockwells. In my dealing with the old farmer, he presented me with another set of axles, and told me if I was taking the Rocks, I had to take these also.

Thing is, I have no idea what the hell they are, and before I turn them into some twisted peice of art work for the local yuppies, I thought I would see if I could figure out what and where they came from.

Those are a hundred year old I believe Eaton MFG. axles, vintage 1940? somewheres there about. You won't find anything useful on those axles, in any circle, except maybe antique tractor rebuilders. They would make some lovely scrap weight for the scales tho.

Scrap. Pure, unadultrated scrap. Don't break a testicle lifting them though.

Some of the older military trucks did use split axles like those shown. I did some research but couldn't find that much information. Is there any Identifying numbers or anything of the sort on the axles.
